What is SPACESCANS?

SPACESCANs is an open source library developed by the department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics at the University of Florida which aims to link patient address data to external variables, such as exposure to certain pollutants or crime. While this website serves as an easy and simple way to use the SPACESCANS library, researchers may also choose to download a command line version of the tool or even pip install the library itself for their own development.
